Summary

Montmélo (Barcelona) 05-04-09. The Hope PoleVision Racing team's season has got off to a very encouraging start. Its drivers finished second and third in the first race on Saturday and had what it takes to win. The women's team of Calderón and Gachnang were on their way to their first victory until they were hit with a stop & go penalty.

The second car ran into mechanical problems when restarting after a pit stop and Nicolet and Beche lost their second place.

In the second race, the Hope PoleVision Racing cars improved their performance, finishing seventh and eighth overall on the same lap as the winners who had 200 bhp more than the Radical SR-5s. The Beche-Nicolet duo starting from last place fought their way up to seventh overall and second in the SR-5 class. Gachnang and Calderón saw the flag in eighth position (3rd SR-5) after driving a good race with an excellent driver change.

Tatiana Calderón made a very good start in her first race in Europe, equalled the times set by her team-mates. Natacha Gachnang set the fastest laps in both events.
