Summary

Disappointing weekend for Natacha who could not defend her chances following her 13th place in qualifications.

Small consolation, she scores 3 small points in the race 2 by taking the 7th place (Spanish Champion Ship) and 8 points in Spainish Cup by finishing 2nd.

21.09.2008 - 22.15 Race 1 & 2

Summary

Race 1

Started at the 7th line, Natacha could not win a place at the first turn. Her car was not competitive and she had to fight to win 3 places and stand in 10th position. As she was about to continue her rise, the main fuel pump broke down. The time to move on the auxiliary pump, she lost 4 places and found herselves 14th.

Without losing hope, she went back to the 11th in the first race winning one line for the start of the race 2.

Race 2

Started in the 6th line, Natacha made an excellent start and found herselves 10th in the first turn. At the 3rd round, she was behind EBBESVIK at the 9th position trying to pass him but without any chance. at the front, 2 cars crashed and she gained 2 places to finally finish at the 7th position.

21.09.2008 - 10:00

Summary

The weather in Magny-Cours is nice but a little bit cold. Natacha accepted her 13th place of the qualifications even though she was only 6 / 10 from the pole position.

Her engineer worked hard on her car to try to solve the defects found yesterday and we hope that the 1st race from 11:30 will allow Natacha to have a car to fight and try to finish in top 6.

20.09.2008 - 14:00 Qualifications Session

Summary

Big problem for Natacha at this qualifications Session. Started from the box after 5 minutes, she immediately felt a difficult car with sub-turn and on-turn as well as instability at the rear.

In the 10th round she stopped to try to resolve the problem but the changes had not improved the car.

Natacha ends 13th of the qualifications and will be on the 7th line on the grid for the tomorrow first race.

This position is not safe because she is in the middle of the grid.

It's a big disappointment and she will have to fight tomorrow to try to place herselves in the first 6 to have a chance to score points this weekend.

19.09.2008 - 18:45 Free practice 2nd and 3rd session

Summary

3rd session

Good performance of Natacha at the 3rd free practice session. She finish at 7 / 10 from Jaime Alguersuari who made his best time with new tires while Natacha was using old tires.

The feedback given to her engineer have enabled her to win a few tenths and Natacha won 4 / 10 in a sector that was not perfect at previous sessions.

This result allows her to have a good confidence both in her capacity as in the good behaviour of her car.

Tomorrow will take place at 12:00 qualifications, wish her all our best.

2nd session

The 2nd session was interrupted twice by the red flag. Despite this, Natacha has made the 6th time 5 / 10 behind Jaime Alguersuari (1st).

Natacha has found few flaws in her car with a consequence of a rear unstable. The 10 laps covered have enabled her to tune the technical sectors in order to better prepare the next session.

19.09.2008 - 14:20 Free practice 1st session

Summary

The 1st free practice session went smoothly. Natacha was placed in the top 5. Unfortunately, her transponder did not work, but according to the telemetry, she would be ranked 3rd. Two other drivers also had the same problem like Jaime Alguersuari. Standings very provisional!

Natacha had no problem on any of the difficult passages, the car is well settled and she feels very at ease.
