Summary

At our arrival this morning, the sun was out and a comfortable temperatures. A light wind from the south refreshed us.

Natacha has recovered from his yesterday run and she was highly motivated for the race of this afternoon. The data's of the yesterday race telemetry showed her engineer of few things in order to improve her car in order to be more competitive.

31.05.2008 Spa-Francorchamp (17:00)

Summary

8th on the grid, Natacha was surprised by the fires of the starting fires and lost 2 places in the first turn.

She maintained that position during the 1st round before attacking the 9th during the 4 laps that followed.

Her car much slower in a straight line and her front tires becomming used, her car became unstable. She had to fight ceaselessly to try to keep her place. At every turn she was losing ground, losing 2 places in the last 3 laps.

She made as much than 20 overruns to try to gain places, but always losed them in the straight lines.

Race very hard physically but she resisted until the end.

As she finished 12th, her mental took a blow, but Natacha is not one to let go. The lioness will release its claws tomorrow for the 2nd race.

31.05.2008 Spa-Francorchamp (13:00)

Summary

The qualifications session was again troubled. Indeed, 2 crashes have generated 2 red flags.

Natacha placed at the beginning of the session in 3rd position has benefited from red to put new tires. While doing her best lap, a car in difficulty stopped at only 100 meters from the entrance to the boxes generating a yellow flag and a red. The time of the 1st and 2nd sectors would have placed Natacha in the 2nd position. The final ranking of qualifications is still suspended because of an investigation on the fastest lap of Bratt who seems to have taken a shortcut!

Natacha will therefore be on the 4th row is in position 7 or 8.

Natacha feels confident, her car has a good setup. Her mental is intact and she should quickly be able to fight for a podium.

30.05.2008 Spa-Francorchamp (16:00)

Summary

Free practice session very difficult for Team Campos. Following a crash from Adrian Jr, the red flag is out the track closed. 10 minutes later, the track reopened. Pilots leave and are under pressure, with only 15 minutes left in the session. Natacha turns 2 laps before putting the gas. In wanting to take a curve at the maximum speed, her car was unbalanced and she crashed out of the track. No big damage but very few laps completed.

The adjustments made between the 1st tests session this morning and this afternoon have contributed to the fastest time of the 1st sector before Natacha got out. Poor consolation, but at least she knows that tomorrow, her car will be on the top (as well as her mental).

Sky partially cleared, a little sun and high humidity.

Natacha and her team are wainting to run at 11:25 for the 1st free practice session.

Yesterday, engineers and pilots walked trhough the 7 km track.
