17.12.2008 - FormulaTwo (F2) FIA for Natacha in 2009

Summary

It is official, Natacha will race in 2009 with the newcomer FormulaTwo (F2) FIA Championship.

This new category uses a new car based on a chassis built by Williams and an engine of 450 HP built by Audi.

Very sad weather conditions for the 1st GP2 test for Natacha !

Morning

The morning session took place exclusively with rain tires. Between 9:00 and 11:40 am, Natacha has made 68 laps to finally achieve at 11:30 with the 5th chrono with a time of 1: 26,060 on a track becomming dry.

For a first experience, Natacha showed all her qualities, and Fisichella Motor Sports Team was excited about her performance.

Throughout the morning, Natacha has consistently improved her best time by reducing the gap with the best drivers.

Taking advantage of a lull, the majority of teams mounted slick tires and improved considerably the best times of the morning while Natacha was keeping driving on request of her engineer from MS with rain tires with the impossibity to enhance her best tme and by degrading her tires.

Afternoon

The afternoon session began at 14: 00 in the rain with new rain tires. Natacha had the 12th time at less than 1.5s from the best time. At 15.15, the track become dry on some parts and the engineer from FMS decided to mount to Natacha's car used slick tires to save the rain tires.

Unfortunately the combination of a wet track with the rough slowing systems, ineffective in these conditions and used slick tires at bad temperature, had the consequence that Natacha was victim of an exit during the 1st lap right at the entrance of the straight line as she was accelerating.

Damaging her car, she had therefore prematurely stop the test session after only 22 laps and without having had the opportunity to mount new slick tires and try to achieve a better time.

Natacha left Le Castellet frustrated not to have had the opportunity to experience the feeling of this powerful car on a dry track.

(Sad) consolation

The today tests took place entirely on a wet track and the best time realized yesterday by Natacha is quite encouraging given similar conditions!

Summary

On the occasion of the presentation to the Sponsor Leaseplan, all the Team Camposracing has moved to the building of Leaseplan, cars, mechanics, engineers and pilots. This presentation was also intended to meet the staff of Leaseplan and the Press. The presentation was followed by a drink and a meal. All members of the Team and the pilots were able to get to know together and spend a relaxing day before starting the serious matters.

28.04.2008 - New Team and new season for Natacha

Competition

So, here we go. Natacha has signed with Team Campos Spanish Team Campos Grand Prix to compete in the 2008 season Formula 3 in Spain.

The 1st race will take place this weekend at Jarama (Madrid). In preliminary tests season, Natacha was able to familiarize themselves with her car, the different tracks and with the members of the Team Campos. Also present in GP2 (3rd Championship GP2 Asia 2008), Team Campos has a solid experience in Formule 3, placing its pilots regularly in the top 5. Another point which is an innovation, this will be the first Team that will align 2 girls in the 2008 Formula 3 Spanish Championship.

27.04.2008 - Summary September 2007 - April 2008

Summary

Although the season Formula Mazda (USA) ended in August 2007, Natacha has not been innactive during the last 8 months.

Indeed, the negotiations on the different projects for the following season took a lot of time and needed a lot of energy. In addition, Natacha wished to maintain and improve its physical condition to prepare in an optimal way to the 2008 season.

On September 18th and 19th, Natacha conducted a test for the A1GP in Silverstone in the company of Rahel Frey, Neel Jani and the Team Manager Switzerland, Max Welti. Following this test, Max Welti has chosen Natacha as a rookie pilot for the 2nd round of the A1GP 2007-2008 Championship in BRNO from October 12th to 14th 2007.

End of November Natacha conducted one test day in Formula 3000 in Maggionne (Italy), followed by 3 days of training with a Proto on the track of Lédenon.

From December 12th to 14th 2007, Natacha was invited by the Audi manufacturer to conduct a 3 days test on an Official DTM Audi on the circuit of Almeria in Spain.

From December 17th to 21th 2007, she conducted tests in Formula 3 in Valencia with other girls with the objective of the contest was the 2008 Spanish Formula 3 Championship.

Other contacts took place with the USA for a seat in Formula Atlantic.

Her choice fell on the Formula 3 with Team Campos because of the high level of the pilots in Spain, the professionalism of the Team and the proximity of races.

This will be a new experience, but the eight days of tests carried out between February and April showed that Natacha is a serious prétendante for the 2008 Title.
