4.05.2008 - Meeting of Jarama (2nd race)

Summary

So many emotions! Starting 5th on the 3rd line Natacha gets to the 1st turn winnning one place, behind a driver didn't start and there was a crash between 3 cars, yellow flag. The Safety car enters the track. It took three laps to evacuate the 3 crashed cars. The debris of cars were important, and Natacha got victim of a flat tyere. Back to the box to change the wheel and back on the track behind all drivers.

The departure is revived, and in haste, Natacha pass a competitor before the line; immediate sentence by a Drive Through. There, any chance of a podium was soaring. Natacha has applied to go back to the peloton tomb opened. With almost a tour of delay, it will fight to the end to finally finish 13rd in the same round with the best in prime time on tour.

Although malchancheuse Sunday, Natacha has demonstrated this weekend the enormous potential in signing the pole position, finishing 2nd in the race 1 (1st of the Junior Cup), and signing the fastest lap at the 2nd race.

Congratulations to Natasha, who upon her return to stand after the 2nd race was acclaimed by all commissioners runway!

3.05.2008 - Meeting of Jarama (1st race)

Summary

Waiting until the race was difficult for any team. The race taking place at 16: 00, everyone was glued to his watch and tried to address the mind. Natacha, although relaxed in appearance seemed still tense at the idea of leaving on the 1st line.

At 15: 55 all cars were in place ready to make the heats lap. No worries, back to the grid, red fire, extinction and departure. Natacha despite having made a good start is passed at the 1st turn by Yacaman. Followed by the peloton and in the 1st pin, crash between 2 cars located in the middle of the group. Yellow flag and Safety Car. Two laps were sufficient to take out the two cars and just when the fire of the SC off, Yacaman slowed and restarted. The problem was that Yacaman restarted to early and was too close from the SC. Braking of Yacaman, and a mess with the cars behind him. Alguersuari took the opportunity to pass Yacaman and Natacha did the same before the line (not allowed). After the line, she tried throughout the race to pass Alguersuari without success. He passed the line with 1 second delay, just before an incident occurs that could have been dramatic.

Alguersuari pleased with his victory braked by blocking the 4 wheels and it took an exceptional presence of mind of Natacha to avoid him in getting out the line which it could have been fatal.

The podium was held immediately afterwards with a dark mine for Alguersuari and still a dazzling smile of Natacha. Congratulation to Natacha. The podium for the Spanish Cup followed (Drivers with old car), where she climbed on top of the podium in the acclamation of all spectators.

The rest of the story would take too long to explain about the problem to the revival and the attitude of Alguersuari after the finish line, so I leave you and i will find you tomorrow evening to summarize the 2nd race.

3.05.2008 - Meeting of Jarama (Qualifications)

Summary

This morning the tension at breakfast was feeling! The pressure rose as we approached the qualifications session. Located in the 1st group, Natacha broke in her tires for the race before returning to stand to put her qualification tires. Back on track, 1st round, 2nd round and best time at the 3rd round. She continued another 2 laps before returning to the stand knowing that she could not improve her best time. It was followed by 7 minutes of tension until the end of the 1st session to whether she could maintain her time.

End of session, best time with 2 tenths ahead.

The 2nd session was followed immediately and waiting was endless for both the team Campos for her dad and Grand-dad. Finally, Natacha won the Pole with more than 2-tenths ahead and the 1st point in the Championship! Very good performance and Joy in the Team Campos !

2.05.2008 - Meeting of Jarama (Official Testing days)

Summary

The 2 timed sessions of 50 minutes took place with several red flags preventing the best pilots from lower times. Natacha has distinguished herself with a 5th place in each of the sessions. According to official data, it has even achieved the best time of 1 sector and the 2nd time in the 2nd sector.

This track suits her well and her car behaves very well.

Tomorrow, the day of qualifications. Due to the high number of participants, qualifications will be divided into 2 groups, pairs in the 1st and then impers. Each session lasts 20 minutes and ranking will be in the order of 2 groups. Keep your fingers crossed for Natacha!

01.05.2008 - Meeting Jarama (1st day of free practice)

With more than 30 entries in the 1st round of the Spanish Championship, free practices have been interrupted several times by outgoing tracks. Three sessions were scheduled of 45 minutes each which had intended to take contact with the track for some and for others to discover (This was also the case for their car).

No big crash, but the difference between cars were important and it was virtually impossible to find a window for making a good time.

Despite this, Natacha has made the 4th time after having been only 2 laps free with her new tires. Good performance considering that she has a Dallara F306.

Tomorrow will be the two official Timed practice sessions, the technical inspection and marking of tires. These sessions allow to get an idea on the value of each pilot.
